Why choose catered ski chalets in La Tania?

There are lots of different options for accommodation in La Tania, so it can sometimes be difficult to choose the right one for you. How do you decide between a hotel, self-catering apartment or a catered ski chalet? Hotels can offer flexibility in arrivals to resort but there are always lots of hidden extras with many meals not being included. Self-catering apartments may be good if you drive and bring food with you but once in resort food from supermarkets can be very expensive and having to cook every night after a long days skiing probably isn’t what you want when you’re supposed to be on holiday. Therefore, it can get pretty expensive going out for dinner every night that is why catered chalets can be far more economical.

There are some great catered chalets in La Tania that are traditional wood chalets creating a traditional charm to the resort. There is a big enough range to suit whatever group size you may have and whatever your budget. Many of our chalets have accommodation only packages so that you can be much more flexible, this makes it great for families with kids in La Tania. Whether you have a full package of flights, transfers and accommodation or just simply accommodation the price of the chalet will include a fully catered service. A fully catered service includes a hot/cold breakfast, then an afternoon tea when you get back from skiing and then a three or four course evening meal with wine. This means that the only thing you have to pay for is lunch on the mountain and one evening meal where you get to sample a traditional restaurant in La Tania. The catering service in La Tania chalets is excellent with many chalets having their own chefs; chalets can cater for dietary requirements and do special food for children too.

Family catered chalet

Chalet Titania sleeps 12-15, has 5 twins plus a family suite so it is perfect for families with children wanting to stay together. The chalet is situated just off the blue piste making it easy for families to return to the chalet and it is also only a few minutes walk to ski school for the children. This 4* chalet also benefits from having a DVD player to keep the kids entertained in the evenings whilst the adults benefit from the spacious lounge with a log fire.

Luxury catered chalet

Chalet Eagle sleeps 12-14, this 5* chalet is ski in/ski out; all of the bedrooms have plasma TV and balconies. It has a comfortable environment in which to relax in after a hard day’s skiing, with a steam room, a lovely sun terrace and a great log fire.

Ski in/ski out catered chalet

Chalet Christine sleeps 28, is a traditional chalet which is just minutes away from the centre of La Tania so if there is good snow in resort it has great ski access with ski in/ski out facilities. There are a mixture of rooms with twins, doubles, bunks and family suites. This chalet also has fantastic catering with certain products from the UK so that people won’t get too homesick!

Large group catered chalet

Chalet Emeralde sleeps 16-18, this 3* chalet is fully ensuite and has a spacious lounge area which is big enough for everyone to sit around the log fire. The chalet is just 5 minutes walk from the La Tania centre so it is great for groups wanting to partake in a bit of après, it is also benefits from having good ski access with it only being 140m from the pistes.

Value catered chalet

Chalet Renoir sleeps 11-12, is in a great location, just 2 minutes walk from both the village centre and the ski lifts. This 4* chalet is decorated to a high quality and is practically ski in/out if the snow is good. Considering its great location, fantastic catering service and tasteful furnishings this is a true steal!

Wellness Facilities in La Tania

La Tania ski resort is based in an evergreen coniferous forest at 1350m, it has easy access to the massive Three Valleys ski area situated between Meribel and Courchevel. The resort is predominately made up of traditional chalets; these are set above the resort in the woods so are idyllic and give the resort its charm. La Tania boasts perfect runs for beginners and intermediates, the best being the fantastic blue down to resort with harder runs as you enter the rest of the Three Valleys. The resort’s community feel is strengthened by its traffic free area and lots of non-skiing activities including the wellness facilities of La Tania. The Hotel Le Montana has a wellness centre which anyone can use; this has a fitness club, swimming pool, sauna and gym. There is also a mobile massage company in resort which also does beauty treatments. In the resort of La Tania you can relax and ski your week away.

La Tania is a great ski resort because it is good value for the 3 Valleys and there are many ski deals to be had. Having an area pass will allow you to ski in 600km of pistes, but staying in La Tania ski resort will allow you to have a relaxing chilled out ski holiday. Many of our La Tania chalets have hot tubs, chalets with hot tubs in La Tania are great to unwind in the evenings, and relax your muscles for the next day on the Three Valleys pistes.

Chalet Elliot West Sleeps 8, this luxury chalet is located above the main village of La Tania, a competent skier can ski back to the chalet but it is just a couple of minutes away from the piste for those who are not feeling adventurous. The chalet is also only 200m from the centre with all of its amenities. The chalet Elliot West has a lovely hot tub on its private terrace, making it an excellent point of relaxation.

Luxury chalet with access to Wellness Facilities

Chalet Atilla Sleeps 12-14, this luxury ski chalet is set amongst the trees just minutes from the piste. It is fully ensuite with a lovely log-fire in the lounge. This chalet is in a fantastic location, just minutes from the lifts and the village centre.  It has a fantastic outdoor hot tub, which you can enjoy the stunning views over La Tania from.

Great location, possible to ski to the door

Chalet Lea Sleeps 12, this luxury catered chalet is well located with the lift and centre just 200m away, a competent skier can ski right back to the chalet but the slopes are just a couple of minutes away for beginners and children. The chalet boasts a spacious comfortable lounge and an outdoor hot tub on the sun terrace.

Large group chalet

Chalet Jonquille Sleeps 16, this luxury skiing chalet is just 2 minutes walk from the village centre and like most of La Tania chalets, if you are an experienced skier then you can ski back to the chalet. This chalet has an excellent catering service with five course meals in the evenings and many different wines making it perfect for Large group holidays with a hot tub.

Good value quality chalet

Chalet Topaz Sleeps 16, this great quality chalet is just 3 minutes from the village centre and just a few minutes from the nearest piste. The chalet is all ensuite with some balconies off of the bedrooms and a hot tub on the terrace which is off the lounge.

Family Skiing holidays La Tania

La Tania is perfectly suited for a family skiing holiday and is referred to as the ‘family friendly village at the foot of the 3 Valleys’ and is situated between the famous resorts of Meribel and Courchevel. In the heart of a pine forest it really is a true ski-in/ski-out resort and undoubtedly the best value family skiing in the 3 Valleys. La Tania provides an excellent location for beginners and families holidays alike. With fantastic links to Meribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens the more adventurous families can enjoy a huge ski area of 600km of pistes and offers skiing to suit every ability. La Tania is part of the Courchevel Valley and is included on the Courchevel area lift pass, making it possible to ski to and from the excellent beginner and family ski area of Courchevel 1650. Family lift passes are available at great rates saving you hundreds.

La Tania Family Skiing Holidays

With some of the best ski schools on offer in Europe and great beginner slopes kids can go off for the day and will thoroughly enjoy themselves, whilst the adults can try out the more challenging slopes of Courchevel 1850. Ski-schools are available for children between 4-11 and for younger children crèches’ are available. For the non-skier there is also plenty to keep you amused. Facilities include a swimming-pool and sauna, snow-shoe walking, para-gliding, husky dog sledding, and in Courchevel 1850, tobogganing, ice-skating, bowling, a children’s rock climbing wall and more. On top of this, families in La Tania can enjoy a very entertaining charity day out at the end of April with a BBQ, live bands, a soap box sledge derby and many more fun activities to keep the family occupied.

 Chalet Elliot East La Tania - sleeps 8. 

This chalet is situated just above the main village of La Tania in a private wooded location with the piste, lift and village centre just 200m away.  The more adventurous skier can ski back to the chalet. The chalet has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 8 people, with all rooms being en suite.

 

 

Luxury Chalet Option:

Chalet Atilla, La Tania – sleeps 12-14. 

Chalet Atilla is nestled amongst the trees and is only minutes from the piste.  The chalet has a bright and modern feel but also has a homely atmosphere with log fires to keep you warm.  Its location means you are provided with fantastic views and you can take advantage of the out-door hot-tub in the sunshine.  The chalet also has parking facilities. 

 

 

Ski-in Ski-out Chalet Option:

Chalet James, La Tania – sleeps 12.

This recently built chalet is wonderfully located right on the blue Folyeres piste in resort providing snow cannon assured ski in ski out facilities. The chalet is freestanding and provides very high quality accommodation.  James is situated next to Chalet Beauvallon, its sister chalet, making it ideal for access to the village and skiing.  Chalet James is wonderfully located to provide easy and quick walking access to both the resort centre and the ski lifts.

 

 

Large Group Chalet Option: 

Felicie and Philippine, La Tania - sleeps 27. 

The chalet is located close to the village centre and is within walking distance to the shops, bars and restaurants.  Chalet Felicie and Philippine is an impressive and traditional mountain chalet, actually made up of two chalets next to each other within the same building.  The chalet has access to a large ski room ideal for equipment storage and drying, with a boot warmer, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

 

 

Value Chalet Option:

 Chalet Christine, La Tania – sleeps 28.

Chalet Christine is ideal for families, groups, couples and singles alike.  It is situated just a short way from the town centre with ski-out being possible most of the season.  A pubic elevator next to the chalet provides access to the village bars, shops, restaurants and is also perfect use for beginners to access there ski schools in the morning.  There are 2 comfortable lounges with ample seating and each with it’s own log fire-place, hi-fi system and satellite TV.  The balconies and terraces overlook the superb mountain views.

Ski in ski out Chalets La Tania

The small family resort was originally called La Tagna meaning a bear’s dwelling, but this was later changed to La Tania so that all of its visitors would pronounce it correctly! It officially opened in 1990 for the Albertville Winter Olympics of 1992. It was only used to accommodate ice hockey players and journalists but now it has grown into a full resort.  It is most definitely still a village with chocolate box chalets off the pistes yet it manages to encompass a buzzing atmosphere with theme night parties, après-ski happy hours and drinks promotions.

Chalet Amethyste 1 - La Tania –  sleeps 10, is a  4* chalet is situated 5 minutes away from La Tania centre just 150m away from the piste. It has a spacious lounge with a fireplace, there is also a lovely south-facing terrace to enjoy the views across the 3 Valleys.  

Ski in Ski out Luuxury Ski Chalet 

Chalet Beauvallon - La Tania - sleeps 12, is a luxury chalet is in a perfect location for skiing and access to the village, all of the bedrooms have ensuite facilities. The chalet has a lovely spacious open plan lounge to relax in after a hard day’s skiing. All of the bedrooms have a balcony and there is a lovely terrace from the lounge. This chalet has its own chef so has an excellent catering service, there is also unlimited wine available to guests.  

Ski in ski out chalet for large groups  

Chalet Christine - La Tania - sleeps 28, is a 4* chalet that comes without flights so is really flexible. It is just minutes away from the village, but guests can get a public elevator down for easy access to the bars and restaurants on offer. The chalet has 2 comfortable lounges with a TV, games machine and wireless internet. This is an all ensuite chalet that is perfect for large groups.  

 

Good value ski in ski out chalet

Chalet Chabirusse - La Tania - sleeps 12-13, is a 4* chalet is just 100m away from the lifts and the village but you can ski to and from the chalet during your holiday depending on the snow. The chalet has a lovely decking area off of the spacious lounge so is ideal for soaking up the sun.
   

Ski in ski out chalet

Chalet Sapphire - La Tania - sleeps 12, is a 4* chalet is a fully ensuite chalet just a 5 minute walk to the La Tania village centre. This is a lovely airy chalet with a spacious lounge that can be a bit of a sun-trap just minutes from the piste so is easy to ski from in the mornings and back to in the evenings if there is snow.
